One year later, this dangerous station on 10th Avenue between 44th and 45th Streets is now SAFE for school children. HESS installed bollards and speed bumps to separate the sidewalk from the station and as a result , the cars enter and leave very gingerly. Directional signs and 5 trees add to the sense or order . The parks department authorized the planting of a continuous tree bed of 60 ft on 10th Avenue to provide separation, calming and greenery . Over a year of work and every minute worth it ! You to Hess’ Property Manager, Andy Lautenbacher and thank you to Mr . Hess! Thank You to DOT ‘s Colleen Chattergoon for increased signage and markings around the school and Renee Schoonbeck of CB4 for setting up multi agency meetings.
