60th Street and 9th Avenue
57th Street and 8th Avenue
42nd Street and 8th Avenue
DOT is also working on a summer/ fall 2018 schedule to actually convert 11th Avenue to one way , with bike lane and bus platforms [...]

Join Us: Cross town protected bike lanes

[ January 17, 2018; 12:30 am to 9:30 pm. ] After the community board asked twice for crosstown bike lanes, DOT is presenting their plan for  multiple crosstown protected bike lanes,  as well as a project to implement a pair on 26/29th Streets where a bicyclist was killed by a bus driver last summer.

Cross Town Protected Bike lanes on W37/38th streets?

Community Board 4 wrote a letter to DOT asking them to study the feasibility of protected crosstown bike lanes on 37th and 38th Streets from 11th to 8th Avenue .
The bike lanes would connect workers and residents of the emerging Hudson Yards district to the northbound  / southbound  lanes on 8th and 9th Avenues.  And [...]

DOT Focuses on Protecting Intersections for Cyclists

We Desperately Need Protected Intersections

Activists are making the rounds of Community Boards with one message to DOT: we need protected intersections! by letting cars turn at the same time as cyclists and pedestrians cross the intersection, DOT is creating a dangerous situation and  is  responsible for crashes at these intersections!

NYPD Responds to Criticism after the Death of Two Cyclists

Chief Chan as well as his direct reports and the head of the Collision Investigation unit were on hand to discuss the various issues raised after the death of two cyclist in CB4 in June.
