Saturday, June 13th , 2 to 4 p..m. , NW corner of 45th Street and 9th Avenue to 37th Street.
While the Departement of Transportation is making much progress on Broadway and other thouroughfares, our Main Street continues to claim too many lives: Six months ago a seven months pregnant young woman was killed at 38th Street and 9th Avenue , and another person was injured at the same location two weeks ago. Recently a woman was killed at 40th Street and Ninth Avenue, by a garbage truck who did not realize he had hit a pedestrian until he was in the Bronx. No arrests.. Here is the picture of the latest hit. HKNA and CHEKPEDS will not rest until the avenue is safe, the laws are enforced and the reckless drivers get commensurate punishment.
