Forget about Airports! It is the largest bus terminal in the world, it will be a 10-year and $ 1o billion construction project , located in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It will be double the current height or more; the towers on 8th avenue will be as tall as the One World Trade Center!
And yet, this is a necessary project to satisfy expected bus commuting demand (think how many more commuters will take the bus instead of cars!), to remove all long distance buses from our streets and bus parking from surface lots . It will transform our streets with many stores and create significant green space.
It will be up to you and us, to get this project as close as possible to what the community wants, by speaking up now .
