Do you care about clean air for your kids? Do you know that the West Side has one of the highest rates of childhood asthma in the City? New idling law went into effect this past May 11th which prohibits drivers from leaving the engines running more than one minute when parked near our schools. Our campaign is bringing parents teachers, kids and neighborhood residents together to make sure this new law is actuallyenforced. This is one critical step in our efforts to ensure our children have clean, healthy air to breathe.
WEST SIDE CLEAN AIR CAMPAIGN MEETING
FREE DINNER, FREE CHILDCARE, SPANISH TRANSLATION TOO!
Tuesday, June 16th refreshments at 5:30, meeting starts at 6pm
P.S. 111 440 W. 53rd St. between 9th/10th Aves (PTA room)

WE kicked off the campaing on May 11th . check the photos here. We’re now meeting to plan the next steps in our campaign. If we are going to cut down on toxic air pollution in our homes and in our streets, we need to stay organized, vigilant and committed to bringing more people on board. We’ll discuss outreach to area schools, making sure law enforcement and elected officials are working on our side, and other ways we can advocate for cleaner air.
Can you join us? Parents and allies from schools across the West Side will be there.
