Pedestrian Memorial March

Over 100 residents, families and friends gathered Saturday June 13, 2009, to honor the memory of six pedestrians killed by drivers on Ninth Avenue in recent years. They marched from 45th to 37th Street behind a New Orleans-style funeral band, demanding more traffic law enforcement , Equal justice for pedestrians and that Ninth Avenue not be used as a highway to the Lincon Tunnel.More Pictures, New York Daily News article , Vulnerable users bill A07917.
