Speaker Christine Quinn shares with us a pilot program running through September 30th, the Project CART’s: Freedom Van, run by the New York Foundation for Senior Citizens (NYFSC). It allows seniors to make arrangements to use the escort service to travel to appointments or join a shopping group where they will be driven to Pathmark on Mondays and Costco on Wednesdays. The service includes a return trip.
When making reservations, seniors need only to supply their phone numbers, addresses, date of birth and any disabilities or special needs. Pickup must be below West 110th Street

Limo in Port Washington NY limousine provide service for Seniors Citizens.that`s the great job doing very well limousine
Hi: I’m a senior citizen living in Manhattan Plaza. I picked up the Project CART’s Freedom Van flyers from our Rodney Kirk Center.
I have been calling Project CART’s number (212-956-0840) since 9:00 this morning (Tuesday, 6/18) – the phone just rings and rings (no answering machine). How can I reach someone to make an appointment to take the van to Costco and Pathmark. If possible, I’m interested in going to Costco tomorrow (6/19). If that cannot be, then I’d love to make the appointment for next Wednesday.
Please let me know as soon as possible. Many thanks for your help … Laura
Laura, I am checking it out ..
So it turns out that the CART project ended and lost its funding . For transportation you better call Access-A-Ride.
WILL SERVICE BE AVAILABLE IN 11/13?
