In December 2009, the City Council voted to rezone the Western Rail Yards. As part of this negotiation, Speaker Quinn insited and the City agreed to set up a task force to make good on its 2005 promises to green Hell’s Kitchen, 34th to 42nd Streets, 8th to 10th Avenues. Port Authority-owned Dyer Avenue occupies a large portion of this area. Join us to comment on two proposals to reclaim unused street space, calm traffic and generate more green space.
