Earlier this month , Community Board 7 passed a resolution in support of extending along Columbus Avenue the bike lane from 59th Street on 9th Avenue to 110th Street.
This is excellent news for bicyclists who want to commute to work or to school up and down the west side. This also links new neighborhoods like Harlem to the bike network on the west side. With the advent of bike-share, this gives much more safety to all users of the network, including pedestrians.
