Last Week, Pedestrians for Bike Safety, Council Member Bottcher and other elected officials organized a press conference to unveil a new PSA campaign. The message is displayed on all LinkNYC kiosks and hopefully will be translated in multiple languages. Los Deliveristas Unidos join in the effort.
In parallel, the Mayor announced in his State of the City address the creation of a new agency: the Department of Sustainable Delivery. Modeled after the Taxi and Limousine Commission , the department will be in charge of regulating micro mobility deliveries, after a task force establishes the scope of its purview. Transportation Alternatives has been a proponent of this solution which will take a few months to be set up and effective on the ground.
