The City is continuing its series of “Community Conversations” to plan the next incarnation of PlaNYC 2030. Having your voice in the mix is integral to changing the City’s next steps.
Many neighborhoods, the West side Clean Air Coalition ( HCC, WSNA, CHEKPEDS) and Our Streets Our Lives , who fought for the law to eliminate loudspeakers on open air buses, are joining forces to ask for a Complete Bus Infrastructure, with preferred routes, protected lanes and mostly for a Bus Garage. Read our flyer here.
Please speak up on this matter by giving your advice online
Or you can RSVP at CountMeIn@cityhall.nyc.gov to join the meeting tomorrow

Is there a number to call to report illegal bus idling that gets a quick response. I realize it’s not an emergency, but to get a no response such as a call about a stranger sleeping under the stairs to the Precinct, but what does it take to get a police car, or other authorized authority to show up.
Or are there hundreds or felonies going on 24 hours a day.
And is a citizens word good enough to ticket.
Ted, I have added a section on Idling in the resources page, “what do I do if…”
Hope this is helpful.
