There is no question that ” Less Traffic = Better Street” .
MTA just released stunning statistics : Lincoln tunnel volumes have gone down by 17% , 34th street westbound travel time is down by 51% , 42nd street eastbound is down by 12% but increased on the westbound, 57th street westbound is down by 21%.
Even thought statistics show 9th Avenue without improvements, anyone who looks outside their window can see that the traffic is much improved, especially around the Lincoln Tunnel.
Bus and subway ridership have increased.
