In 2010 the Mayor’s Midtown Citizens committee undertook to survey Bus companies to understand bus Parking Needs in midtown. 750 companies received the survey and over 100 responded. The results and suggestions are compiled in a report published in January 2011:  Tour and Charter Bus Report 

In 2011 the administration agreed to increase the number of curbside bus parking locations by 44 or 30%. These spaces were designated during the fall 2011 and winter 2012.

Hi, To add to your recent comments about changes to the map:
1) there is NO bus parking on 62nd st
2) All parking around DeWitt Park is gone.
3) 53rd st only has room for 2 not 3 busses
4) Only room for 3 not 7 busses on West End ave between 61st and 59th
5) 44th between 10th and 11th is gone for construction
6) 8th ave between 46th and 47th is all no parking now.
7) 30th st between 9th and 10th is for Academy ONLY busses.
