On a daily basis, large numbers of commuter and tour buses travel illegally on West 44th Street, a residential block between 9th and 10th Avenues instead of using the proper truck routes to reach their destination. In an effort to quantify the problem, the W44th Street Block Association ,with CHEKPEDS’s assistance, performed a survey of origin and destination on Wednesday March 13th, 2013 between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.
